Date : Apr 8, 2024 (Wed) Scripture : Acts 4:13-31 Ac 4:13-32 [NIV] [13] When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus. [14] But since they could see the man who had been healed standing there with them, there was nothing they could say. [18] Then they called them in again and commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus.  [19] But Peter and John replied, "Judge for yourselves whether it is right in God's sight to obey you rather than God. [20] For we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard." [21] After further threats they let them go. [23] On their release, Peter and John went back to their own people and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said to them.  [24] When they heard this, they raised their voices together in prayer to God. "Sovereign Lord," [29] Now, Lord, consider their thre...

Is Jesus Enough?

Date : May 6, 2024 (Mon) Scripture : Acts 3:1-26 Ac 3:1-26 [NIV] [2] Now a man crippled from birth was being carried to the temple gate called Beautiful, [3] When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for money. [4] Peter looked straight at him, as did John. Then Peter said, "Look at us!" [5] So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them. [6] Then Peter said, "Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk." [7] Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man's feet and ankles became strong. [8] He jumped to his feet and began to walk. Then he went with them into the temple courts, walking and jumping, and praising God.   [12] When Peter saw this, he said to them: "Men of Israel, why does this surprise you? Why do you stare at us as if by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk? [13] The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, th...

Religion Not a Luxury, But a Necessity

Date : Apr, 24, 2024 (Wed) Scripture : Deuteronomy 32:34-52 Dt 32:34-52 [NIV] [37] He will say:" Now where are their gods , the rock they took refuge in, [38] the gods who ate the fat of their sacrifices and drank the wine of their drink offerings? Let them rise up to help you! Let them give you shelter! [39] "See now that I myself am He! There is no god besides me. I put to death and I bring to life, I have wounded and I will heal, and no one can deliver out of my hand...  [44] Moses came with Joshua son of Nun and spoke all the words of this song in the hearing of the people. [45] When Moses finished reciting all these words to all Israel, [46] he said to them, " Take to heart all the words I have solemnly declared to you this day, so that you may command your children to obey carefully all the words of this law. [47] They are not just idle words for you--they are your life. By them you will live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to possess."  [4...

The Gift of the Heart

Mar 18 (Mon) 💗Read Mk 12:35-44 prayerfully. Mk 12:35-44 [38] As he taught, Jesus said, "Watch out for the teachers of the law. They like to walk around in flowing robes and be greeted in the marketplaces, [39] and have the most important seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at banquets. [40] They devour widows' houses and for a show make lengthy prayers. Such men will be punished most severely."  [41] Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. [42] But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a fraction of a penny. [43] Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. [44] They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything--all she had to live on.

The Tongue & The Heart

Mar 16, 2024 (Sat) 💗Read Mark 12:13-27 Mk 12:13-17 [13] Later they sent some of the Pharisees and Herodians to Jesus to catch him in his words. [14] They came to him and said, "Teacher, we know you are a man of integrity. You aren't swayed by men, because you pay no attention to who they are; but you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. Is it right to pay taxes to Caesar or not?   [15] Should we pay or shouldn't we?" But Jesus knew their hypocrisy. "Why are you trying to trap me?" he asked. "Bring me a denarius and let me look at it." [16] They brought the coin, and he asked them, "Whose portrait is this? And whose inscription?" "Caesar's," they replied. [17] Then Jesus said to them, "Give to Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's." And they were amazed at him.

God's Longsuffering With Us

Mar 15, 2024 💗Read Mark 11:27-12:12 Mk 11:27-12:12 [27] They arrived again in Jerusalem, and while Jesus was walking in the temple courts, the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the elders came to him. [28] "By what authority are you doing these things?" they asked. "And who gave you authority to do this?" [29] Jesus replied, "I will ask you one question. Answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I am doing these things. [30] John's baptism--was it from heaven, or from men? Tell me!" [31] They discussed it among themselves and said, "If we say, 'From heaven,' he will ask, 'Then why didn't you believe him?' [32] But if we say, 'From men' . . . ." ( They feared the people , for everyone held that John really was a prophet.) [33] So they answered Jesus, "We don't know." Jesus said, "Neither will I tell you by what authority I am doing these things."  [1] He then began to spea...
