Date : May 22, 2024 (Wed) Scripture : Ac 10:1-16 Ac 10:1-16 [NIV] [1] At Caesarea there was a man named Cornelius, a centurion in what was known as the Italian Regiment. [2] He and all his family were devout and God-fearing; he gave generously to those in need and prayed to God regularly . [3] One day at about three in the afternoon he had a vision. He distinctly saw an angel of God, who came to him and said, "Cornelius!" [5] Now send men to Joppa to bring back a man named Simon who is called Peter.  [9] About noon the following day as they were on their journey and approaching the city, Peter went up on the roof to pray .  [12] It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles of the earth and birds of the air. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will."  [37] Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. "Simon," he said to Peter, "are you asleep? Could you not keep watch for one hour? [38] Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak." [39] Once more he went away and prayed the same thin...

[13] Seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf , he went to find out if it had any fruit. When he reached it, he found nothing but leaves, because it was not the season for figs. [14] Then he said to the tree, "May no one ever eat fruit from you again." And his disciples heard him say it.  [15] On reaching Jerusalem, Jesus entered the temple area and began driving out those who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves, [16] and would not allow anyone to carry merchandise through the temple courts. [17] And as he taught them, he said, "Is it not written: "'My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations'? But you have made it 'a den of robbers.'" [18] The chief priests and the teachers of the law heard this and began looking for a way ...
